The deal between you and Coco.

Accepting these terms

By signing in to Coco and connecting your Google account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not sign in. If you are using Coco on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is handled. Reading both gives you the full picture.

What Coco does

Coco is a personal admin for your inbox and calendar. With the Google permissions you grant, it:

• Reads your Gmail and Google Calendar and synthesizes them into a morning brief — one topic per real thing, the dates that matter, the people who keep coming up.
• Drafts replies in your voice, ready for you to read.
• Sends a reply once you confirm it — and only then.
• Adds a calendar event when you ask it to — and only then.

Every meaningful action lands in an audit log you can read, so you always know what Coco did on your behalf and when.

What Coco does not do

Some lines Coco will not cross, by design:

• It does not auto-send anything. No email leaves your account without your explicit approval of that specific draft.
• It does not auto-delete anything. Coco does not delete your mail or your events. It adds events you ask for; it does not quietly remove things.
• It does not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
• It does not train AI models on your data. Your mail, calendar, and notes are used to serve you and for nothing else.

Your responsibilities

Coco runs on the access you give it, so a few things are on you:

• Keep your Google account secure. Coco signs in through Google; the security of that account — your password, your two-factor setup — protects everything Coco can reach.
• Keep your billing current if you are on a paid plan, so the service keeps running.
• Use Coco as intended. Do not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the system, and do not use it to access an account that is not yours.

You are responsible for the replies you approve and the events you confirm. Coco drafts and suggests; you decide. What goes out under your name is your call.

Acceptable use

Standard, and we mean them: do not use Coco for anything illegal, for harassment, or for sending spam. Do not use it to send mail you are not authorized to send, to impersonate someone, or to interfere with anyone else's use of the service. If you use Coco to do harm, we may suspend or terminate your access.

Subscription, billing, refunds

Coco may be offered as a paid subscription. When it is:

• The subscription is billed monthly through Stripe. Your payment details stay with Stripe; we do not handle your card.
• You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds for unused time are at our discretion. We will be reasonable about it. This section in particular will be reviewed by counsel before public launch and may be refined.

Prices and what a plan includes may change; if they do, we will tell you before a change affects what you pay.

No warranty

Coco is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to make it accurate and reliable, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every brief, draft, or summary will be perfect. Coco synthesizes your mail with a language model, and language models sometimes get things wrong — which is exactly why nothing sends or changes without your review. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Coco and the people operating it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — lost profits, lost data, or missed opportunities — arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Coco in the twelve months before the claim. This is standard SaaS language, and it is meant to be reasonable, not to strip you of rights you actually have under the law where you live.

Termination

You can stop using Coco and delete your account at any time, from Settings → Delete Account. We can also terminate or suspend access — for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for abuse, or if we discontinue the service.

When the relationship ends, by either side, we delete your Coco data within 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. Billing records that the law requires us to keep are the only exception.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This is a placeholder pending review by counsel and may change before public launch; we will update it here when it is settled.

Changes to these terms

If we make a substantive change to these terms, we will notify users at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Coco after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
