Welcome to Coco: your first 10 minutes

Welcome. Coco reads the day's email and calendar and hands you one short read of the few things that actually need you. It drafts replies in your voice, adds events when you ask, and never sends anything without your tap. The first session is mostly about signing in and seeing a real brief from your own inbox.

Sign in with Google

Open Coco and choose Continue with Google. Google will show you the permissions Coco asks for — reading your mail and calendar, and the ability to send a reply or add an event once you approve it. Those phrases look broad because Google's consent screen is all-or-nothing; Coco only ever uses them on the one thing you tap to confirm. Let the first sync run

As soon as you are in, Coco pulls a window of recent mail and your upcoming calendar and starts building your first brief. This takes a minute or two the first time — it is reading more history than it will on a normal day. You do not need to do anything while it runs.

Read your first brief

Your brief is the home screen: a calm, newspaper-style read of what matters today, grouped by topic rather than dumped as a list of forwarded email. If the first one feels a little thin, that is expected — Coco is still learning your people and your recurring topics. See why your first brief might feel light.

Try the chat

Open the chat and ask Coco something real: "What needs a reply today?" or "When am I free on Thursday?" It can pull a thread, check an event, search what it remembers, and draft a reply for you — all without sending anything on its own. This is the fastest way to feel what Coco does. Optional: text Coco from your phone

If you would rather get your brief and reply by text, you can connect iMessage so Coco reaches you on your own number. It is a one-time setup. See texting Coco from your phone.

That is the whole first session. Come back tomorrow morning and the brief will already be sharper.
