Updating your card

Update the card on file anytime from the billing portal. The change takes effect on your next charge.

If your card expired, you got a new one, or you just want to switch which card Coco bills, you can update it yourself in about a minute. Card details are handled entirely by our payments provider through a secure portal — Coco never sees or stores your full card number.

How to update your card

  • Open Coco and go to Settings → Billing.
  • Choose Manage billing to open the secure billing portal.
  • Under payment methods, add the new card and set it as the default.
  • If you like, remove the old card once the new one is saved.

The new card is used for your next charge. There is nothing to do inside Coco itself — billing is managed in the portal.

If a payment failed

If a charge did not go through — an expired or declined card is the usual reason — Coco will let you know and your access may be paused until billing is current. Updating to a working card in the portal clears it; the provider retries the charge and access resumes. You will not lose your topics, people, or history during a short payment lapse.

Receipts and history

The billing portal also holds your invoice and payment history, so you can download past receipts whenever you need them for records.

Security note

Always update payment details through the Manage billing button inside Coco, which takes you to the provider's own portal. Coco will never ask you to send card details by email or message, and we would never need them that way. If a message claims to be from Coco and asks for your card directly, treat it as suspicious and contact support.

Trouble opening the portal

If the portal will not load, it is usually a momentary provider issue — wait and try again. If it keeps failing, reach out and we will help. To stop billing entirely, see cancel your subscription.
